Life at Risalat

Life at Risalat

Build capability that lasts, and grow with it

Since 2011 Risalat Consultants International has worked with ministries, public agencies, donor-financed project teams and companies in more than 50 countries. We measure success by what an institution is better able to do afterwards, and the people who work with us grow the same way.

Our story

Risalat began in 2011 with a simple belief: successful consulting should create more than a deliverable. Client teams take part in the work, so the expertise stays inside the institution. That approach now runs through everything we do, from open training programmes in cities worldwide to in-house programmes, consulting assignments and free online diagnostics.

Our work has included e-Government Procurement capacity building in the Maldives, project cycle management training in Afghanistan, monitoring and evaluation capacity for public bodies in Samoa and Cambodia, gender mainstreaming training of trainers for the Ethiopian Roads Authority, governance and information systems audit capacity for Ghana's Environmental Protection Agency, and financial management and disbursement training for World Bank financed project teams.

What we do

Training

Executive training, technical workshops, study visits and institutional learning, open in cities worldwide, in-house or online.

Consulting

Institutional development, procurement and public financial management, monitoring and evaluation, environment, social and climate, and project management.

Diagnostics and free tools

Free self-assessments and practical tools for project teams, from logframes and risk registers to regulation readiness checks.

Where we work

Multidisciplinary teams are put together around each assignment, combining international expertise with national and local specialists. Programmes run in cities across Asia, Europe, Africa, the Americas and Oceania.

How people grow here

Real assignments

You work on live programmes and projects for ministries, agencies and donor-financed teams, where the results matter to the people they serve.

Learning culture

Programmes are built on current standards and evidence and refreshed as rules and practice change, so contributors keep their own knowledge current too.

Global exposure

Teams and participants come from many countries and sectors, so each assignment adds new contexts, cases and professional networks.

Working alongside experts

Newer contributors work with experienced consultants and facilitators on the same assignment, which is how practical know-how is passed on.

Flexible collaboration

Many roles are project-based and remote where the work permits, with hours, deliverables and terms agreed in writing before work begins.

Integrity first

Independence, accuracy and respect for confidentiality are part of every role, from ambassadors to reviewers and researchers.

Questions

Do I have to leave my current job to work with Risalat?

No. Many opportunities welcome professionals who continue working with their current organisations, as long as their employer's rules allow it and any conflicts of interest are declared.

Can I work remotely?

Many assignments are international and remote where the work permits. Location, hours and deliverables are agreed in writing for each assignment before work begins.

Is there a place for volunteers and early-career professionals?

Yes, through research and knowledge contributions. Volunteer research is always optional and lawful, and it never replaces paid client work. Tell us your interests through the talent network form.

How are applications assessed?

On relevance, demonstrated work and current project needs. Applications are made online; you do not need to send an email, and you receive a confirmation straight away.

What does Risalat expect from contributors?

Accuracy, independence and respect for confidentiality: no undisclosed sales roles, no influence on procurement decisions, and permission before using employer names, logos, recordings or cases.
