Présentation du programme
Being attracted by the reported success of e-procurement in the private sector, government agencies all around the world have initiated the implementation of e-GP systems to help them reduce operational costs, exercise greater control over purchasing, and improve the image by mitigating corruption and fraud. Electronic government procurement, also known as e-GP, can overcome the barriers of time and space, increase the level of transparency in procurement processes, and widen access to new markets and information. E-GP is an innovative solution that incorporates information and communication technologies (ICT) and streamlines public procurement processes for greater efficiency and development. The Republic of Korea, which has an extremely well-versed procurement system, estimates that the implementation of an e-GP has provided a $6 billion economic benefit for both the government and its suppliers through efficiencies and both tangible and intangible cost savings.
Electronic Government Procurement Training in Seoul, Korea has been specifically designed to address the need for specialized knowledge and skills that are essential for the design and implementation of e-GP systems. The programme builds upon the best practices and provides explicit apprehension of the world’s leading e-procurement solutions.

Quick Facts about Korea’s e-GP
The Republic of Korea has been well-known for its advanced electronic government procurement system. The country has an extended history of dealing with e-GP and has demonstrated remarkably affluent practice in e-governance. Korea successfully established and started the Korea ON-line E-Procurement System as early as the year 2002. As a result, the state dramatically enhanced transparency and fairness in the government procurement administration.
KONEPS is a comprehensive G2B e-Procurement platform not only for centralized procurement but also for more than 50 thousand public agencies (national agencies, local governments, public organizations, etc.) and over 340 thousand suppliers. It is also a single repository of vendor data for the entire public organization. With just a one-time registration with KONEPS, businesses can participate in all bidding opportunities. The transaction volume of KONEPS reached a whopping 102.8 trillion in 2019, a threefold from 36 trillion when it was first launched. The Republic of Korea ranks within the top 5 for e-government procurement.
Korea’s e-GP system has been an example to look up to for many countries including Jordan, Cameroon, Tunisia, Rwanda, Vietnam, Mongolia, and Costa Rica.
