Program Introduction

Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) investing has rapidly transitioned from a socially responsible philosophy into a mainstream form of sustainable finance. The potential of ESG investing to deliver long-term value alongside societal and environmental benefits has gained traction among investors, policymakers, and civil society as a whole.

Public policy plays a vital role in shaping the ESG landscape by establishing regulations, providing incentives, and encouraging sustainable and socially responsible investment practices. Following the ramifications of the Paris Climate Accords, many countries around the world have responded with a raft of regulatory measures. ESG standards and frameworks have been established one after the other with hopes to promote transparency and integrity and encourage ESG investing.
