This is an expression of interest for future assignments, not a guaranteed vacancy.
About the role
Institutional Partnerships and Country Representatives help Risalat build long-term relationships with public institutions, training centres, professional bodies and development partners in their country or region. They understand the local institutional landscape and help us offer relevant programmes, diagnostics and in-house support.
Good local knowledge makes our work more useful and more respectful of national priorities. Representatives work transparently, within clear ethical rules, and never influence procurement decisions. The collaboration is an independent contract or regional arrangement agreed in writing.
Responsibilities
- Map key institutions, training centres and professional bodies in your country or region.
- Introduce Risalat's programmes, diagnostics and free tools where they are relevant.
- Build relationships with partner organisations for joint learning initiatives.
- Gather information on national reforms, strategies and donor-financed projects that create learning needs.
- Support local logistics and contacts for programmes held in your country.
- Help organise in-house programme requests and follow up on feedback.
- Keep accurate records of contacts and agreed actions.
- Follow Risalat's ethics guidance and disclose any conflicts of interest.
Outputs and success measures
- A country or regional institutional map.
- Partnership proposals and agreed joint activities.
- Regular short updates on reforms and learning demand.
- Support for programmes and events held locally.
- Documented feedback from institutions and partners.
What we are looking for

- Strong professional network in public institutions or development organisations in your country.
- Experience in partnerships, business development or institutional relations.
- Excellent communication and relationship skills.
- Integrity and a clear understanding of public procurement ethics.
- Fluent English and the main local language.
- Ability to work independently and report clearly.
Desirable
- Experience with donor-financed projects or international organisations.
- Knowledge of national training institutes and civil service systems.
- Event or programme organisation experience.
- A registered business or consultancy (for contract arrangements).
Tools and skills
What you gain
- A recognised role representing an international firm in your country.
- Work with Risalat's international programme and consulting teams.
- Insight into capacity-development work across regions.
- Opportunities to grow the collaboration as activity develops.
How we work
Representatives work under an independent contract or regional collaboration agreement. Scope, territory, reporting, deliverables and fees are agreed in writing. Work is mostly remote and local, with occasional events.
Assignments, working hours, fees, deliverables and location are agreed in writing before work begins. This listing does not guarantee selection, paid work or a minimum number of assignments. Applicants employed elsewhere must comply with employer policies and disclose conflicts of interest.
Selection process
- Apply online with your background, country or region and network overview.
- We review relevance, experience and any disclosed restrictions.
- Interviews with Risalat's partnerships team.
- A written agreement covering scope, ethics and terms.
We assess every application on relevance, demonstrated work and current project needs.
Ethics and independence
- Institutional ambassadors are knowledge and learning connectors, not undisclosed sales agents. They never seek confidential procurement information, influence tender decisions, promise selection or receive payments tied to decisions they control.
- Please disclose any public employment, procurement authority and outside-work restrictions that apply to you.
- Programme reviewers give independent technical feedback, not purchased endorsements.
- Volunteer research is always optional, lawful and never replaces paid client work.
- Contributors obtain permission before using employer titles, logos, recordings, confidential cases or institutional affiliations.
Questions
Is this a commission-based sales role?

Which countries are you looking for?
We welcome interest from any country where we work or see demand. Fit depends on current activity in your region.

Yes. Consultancies and training organisations can express interest as partners.
