Strategic Healthcare Management Exposure and Training delegates were director and other staff of Touba Ndamatou Hospital from Senegal. The participants were warmly welcomed with necessary guide they needed on their personal plans during their stay and a welcome dinner before start of the program.

Program Objectives

The main goal of the program was to train and show the general knowledge and the practical appliance of Strategic Healthcare Management for participants. The key areas targeted were:

  • Utilizing executive decision-making tools and formal methods for assessing healthcare plans.
  • Establishing Best Practices for running smooth medical practices.
  • Applying leadership capabilities to lead healthcare teams and projects to success.
  • Leading and managing complex organizations’ crisis management while optimizing quality and safety best practices.
  • Establishing patient focused strategies, including strategic planning, across the organization.
  • Demonstrating comprehensive understanding of rapidly evolving relationships between providers, patients and payers.
  • Gaining basic insights into the models of care and reimbursement.

Program Exposures

In addition to the program sessions, exposure visits to Başakşehir Çam, Sakura City Hospital and Private Medical Park Florya Hospital were arranged. During the visits, both concrete applications of the topics discussed and information were obtained from the hospital managers. Hospital visits were the essential part of the entire program, allowing the participants to share the knowledge and experience of colleagues operating within the same field, as well as observe the local practices of the host hospitals in the real time & action.

Program Tour & Entertainment

At the end of Strategic Healthcare Management Exposure and Training, the participants were taken for entertaining tour to Istanbul Bosphorus night tour with dinner and transportation. The Bosphorus Strait defines Istanbul. It is the divide between Europe and Asia, and the main connection between the Black Sea and the Sea of Marmara. Dotted with parks and elaborate Ottoman mansions, including Dolmabahce Palace, and spanned by three intercontinental bridges, the Bosphorus is the veritable heart of the city.

Participants enjoyed the delicious dinner & the entertaining atmosphere in the heart of Istanbul with guests from more than 20 different countries. During the Bosphorus, the feel of traditional Turkish night with best shows including Sufi Whirling Dervish show, Ottoman soldiers’ Sultan Ceremony, Turkish folk dancing, and belly dance show. Istanbul Dinner Cruise on Bosphorus with Turkish night show is one of the main must do activities to do before you leave Istanbul.

    Workshop and Study Tours on Procurement and Financial Management of World Bank Funded Projects was a tailor-made program organized by Risalat for the members of the two ministries of Maldives. The program had a duration of 5 days and was held across two Turkish cities of Istanbul and Sakarya (Hendek). The delivery mode of the program was discussion-oriented emphasizing on knowledge and experience share between the representatives of public and private sector of the host country and the delegates.

    Both the workshop and the study tours were tailor-made for the client organizations. There were 7 participants in total from the two ministries of Maldives: The Ministry of Fisheries, Marine Resources, and Agriculture and the Ministry of Environment (3 and 4 attendees respectively). The main goal for program delegates was to learn about the World Bank’s Procurement and Financial Management guidelines and understand their application in practice. Moreover, another equally important component was the practical comprehension of the host country’s project experience with the World Bank.

    In addition to the workshop sessions, the delegates joined 5 study visits where they had a chance to meet the public and private entities and their representatives working on World Bank Funded Projects. In addition, they were also invited to present the work of their ministries under WB funding in Maldives.

    • Industrial Region Visit, Sakarya
    • Sakarya Industry and Commodity Exchange Board of Directors Meeting
    • Sakarya Chamber of Commerce Visit
    • Visit to District Governorate
    • Visit and Meeting with Mayor of Hendek

    As a part of Risalat’s Commitment to Cultural Exchange between the guest and the host countries, the delegates were also invited to participate in sightseeing tours across Sakarya as well as food tasting and welcome dinner.  Participants also had a chance to get involved in a city planting ceremony organized as a courtesy by the mayor office to Risalat Delegates.

      The 5-days workshop on Conflict Management and Peace Building was arranged by Risalat Consultants International in Istanbul, Turkey. The event took place in Hotel Midtown on 25-29 May 2018. Program attendees were the employees of Lebanon Reforestation Initiative (LRI) and the UN Mission in South Sudan.

        The five-day training program on “Conflict Analysis and Sensitivity” that was conducted for the group of 6 members from Kafaa Development Foundation, Libya in Hotel Radisson President Beyazit, Istanbul.
